![]() While not the most complex cigar the flavor was great and seemed to be perfect in this corona length. ![]() The mix of the various pepper flavors and a sweet cedar and oak just blended perfectly on the palate. “I really enjoyed this cigar as a peppery cigar lover. I would recommend it to any smoker that is looking for a fiery, flavorful smoke that won’t wreck your palate.” – Estevan Z. It has a little something for everyone in an hour-long smoke. This cigar could open, or close, your day. The final third has a lot going on engaging every part of my palate. “The first third was not to my liking but it quickly changed my mind. The only real negatives were the general lack of sweetness and then the dryness of the last third as the earth started to build into the close.” – Bill C. Fairly linear in terms of flavor, but it was a nice flavor throughout so I won’t complain too much. “A really well-made cigar and a pleasant smoking experience. I’d recommend this to any lover of milder cigars.” – Kevin J. Usually these don’t hold my interest for long but this cigar really shined in this vitola. It offered up some really good flavors that I usually don’t get some of these milder cigars. “A perfect bunch and roll made for an enjoyable smoking experience.” – Estevan Z. “Razor sharp burn just about the whole way, burn wanted to tunnel a bit of the start, but that’s me being nit-picky.” – Bill C. “The draw was a bit tight on the opening but opened up nicely once it warmed up and produced a good mouthful of smoke.” – Lauren S. This is some creaminess away from a home run.” – Bill C. Short finish except for the pepper which hangs on till the next draw. A touch of leather and a little bit of a vegetal-type bitterness in the background but not in a negative/green sense. A little bit of the “pop rocks” type sensation on my tongue in relation to the pepper flavor. The smoke is thick and rough leaving me with a little bit of a scratchy throat. As for the retrohale, there is an abundance of pepper burning the sinuses. There is a slight pepper note that is trying to wake up the palate. “The opening notes are that of a dry wood. 2 Corona – Blind Cigar Review First Third Flavor: 93 But obviously it does not have much for a consumer policy for the store.Cayman Cigar Co. And as I have said, this is the second or third time this has happened. I am not sure how you run a retail outlet and not honor the prices on the product. I said, "You are not going to honor the marked price on the box"? "Oh, no.that was the old price the new price is. "What.no, here is the price on the box, $105.95, you have mispriced this. At the register the floor staffer says, $145.88. About six months ago that was what I paid for a box of the same. Granted this is not the groovy brand of cigar the floor staff might find to be hip, but for a Christmas party for most non cigar smokers a good choice in my humble opinion. So, I intended to buy a box of Cohiba Red Dots. In years past I have found cigars priced in the store and been a bit shocked to find that it was not the same price at the register. This is not the first time I have run into this at Corona but a bit of a bigger problem this time.
